Cherrybrook Kitchen Chocolate Chip Cookies Review

While at Krogers the other day, I decided to give Cherrybrook Kitchens’ other products a try. We still love their waffle mix, and while the chocolate cake was awful the yellow cake wasn’t as bad. They make cookie mix, brownie mix, icing and more. We grabbed more waffle mix, brownies and chocolate chip cookies this time.

My lovely little assistant, Beau, and I baked the chocolate chip cookies today. We were lucky enough to not have to go to work today (and while I should’ve been cleaning the house after his swim lessons we decided baking sounded more fun!).

I completely agree. Most of the time. The other times my mild (husband-diagnosed) OCD kicks in and I lose my mind in this mess, haha.

Anyway, the cookies were easy to make. They required vanilla, water & butter. Easy enough! Just measure, mix, roll into one inch balls, drop onto a cookie sheet and bake away. The box says they take 8-10 minutes. I think I ended up cooking ours for 10-11.

Beau liked them. He might have eaten two :D And when my husband got home from work he tried them and said they were good. I didn’t love them, honestly. I thought they were a little gritty or dry. Those probably aren’t the correct words to explain how I felt about them, but I can’t think of a better way to explain it right now. Anyway, my husband said he’d have no problem eating them and they wouldn’t go to waste! And seeing as Beau has never had any other kind of cookie, he was a fan. So while I’ll look for some recipes to make from scratch to try out, these weren’t awful, but I do hope to find something better.
